Two Men Arrested in Camapuã, Brazil, With 30,000 Illegal Cigarettes

On February 22, 2013, Campo Grande News reported that state police in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul arrested two men who were illegally transporting contraband cigarettes.  The arrest was made in Camapuã, about 130 kilometers north of the capital city of Campo Grande.  The men were arrested in a large truck and a Volkswagen Golf at a gas station.  Upon investigation, the men said that the cigarettes came from Paraguay, and they had a street value of around R$50,000.  The connection between the two vehicles was made when police discovered two-way radios in each one.  Read Article
