Bolivia, Segip increases security measures after detection of falsified identification cards

Segip, the general service in charge of the administration of identity cards in Bolivia, has increased their security after reports of cloned cards, falsified birth dates, and name changes disclosed Opinion.com.bo. Many changes were made to the system to insure transparency, which caused the process of receiving an id card to take up to four days. Since Monday, different rows were implemented for those citizens that meet requirements and those requiring appointments, eventually creating chaotic traffic. Read Article.
