6.0 earthquake hits most of Costa Rica February 13, 2012

An earthquake of 6.0 magnitude on the Richter scale struck early this morning most of the territory of Costa Rica, especially the central Pacific, but until now are reported casualties or damage, reported the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory (OVSICORI). The quake occurred at 04:55 and its epicenter was located off the coast, 44 km south of Quepos, about 170 km from San Jose in the province of Puntarenas in the central Pacific coast, according to the OVSICORI. The quake, occurred at a depth of 11 km was felt so intensely by the population, according to reports from various parts of the country. Read Article
