2500 baby Alpacas die in Peru due to intense cold

The cold wave and heavy snowfall brought about the death of 2 500 baby alpaca, along with obstruction of roads and the collapse of housing in the district Condoroma, Espinar province ( Cusco ). This was announced by Jose Suyco Quispe, Civil Defense Technical Secretary of this province, who arrived at the headquarters of the Regional Government of Cusco for help, while reporting that the damage generated by rain and snow are considerable.
