19 stations monitoring air quality in Cuenca Ecuador

Cuenca. With 19 monitoring stations, the Municipal Mobility, OCSM, monitors air quality and the concentration of certain compounds such as carbon monoxide produced by vehicle traffic, settlable particles, remains volatile as gasoline, among others. These stations form the Network Monitoring Air Quality Basin. After a study of air emissions, conducted in 2009, identified 12 sources of air pollution such as vehicle traffic, industries, power plants, brick work, gas stations, quarries, solvents, vegetation, air traffic , wind erosion, domestic issues, among others.
