Fears Grow For 1,700 Missing In Ecuador Quake

news.sky.com reported — Officials are counting the human and financial cost of the quake, with nearly 500 people dead and 2,600 injured.The number of dead has reached 480, with 2,560 injured.

The government said 1,500 buildings had been damaged and 18,000 people had spent the night in shelters. In many isolated villages and towns survivors have been left without water, power and transport.
