1,500 kilos of cocaine seized in 48 hours in Argentina

Defense Minister, Nilda Garré, confirmed this morning that 1,500 kilos of cocaine were seized by Argentine police in 48 hours over the weekend, according to infobae.com. A maneuver called ‘Operation Transparency” arrested 2 Argentine police officers in Salta yesterday, near the Bolivian border, and seized 966 kilos of cocaine they were transporting from Bolivia and had hidden in a van. On Saturday police seized 444 kilos of cocaine that was stashed on boat sailing from Rio de la Plata to Uruguay. The drugs seized are valued at $10 million, said Garré.
