1,340 Liters of Liquid Cocaine Seized in North Western Colombia

From lainformacion.com on June 2, 2013- Colombian authorities seized 1,340 liters of liquid cocaine, processed in a laboratory, in a rural area of the department of Antioquia. The laboratory had the capacity for 30 workers. The clandestine lab is associated with the “Los Urabeños” gang in the city of Sopetran. The liquid cocaine was supposed to leave Colombia for Central America where it would later go on to the United States. In addition to the cocaine, authorities seized 4,600 liters of alcohol, 440 liters of thinner, 620 liters of gasoline, 440 liters of sulfuric acid, 520 liters of hydrochloric acid, 775 kilos of sodium hydroxide and carbonate, all used in the process of manufacturing liquid cocaine.
