bbc.com reporte this has been a good year for Colombians, Peruvians and Chileans seeking to travel abroad as tourists. This week, the European Union (EU) adopted a regulation which includes Colombia and Peru in the list of countries that, in the future, shall be exempted from processing visa for short stays. The measure adds to a similar one approved on 27 February in the European Parliament to withdraw the demand for tourist visa to citizens of those Nations who want to access the Schengen – consisting of 26 countries of Europe – and which, expected to come into force in 2015.

In March, Chile became the first country in the region to join the U.S. Visa waiver program.UU.
And March 30, Chile became the first country in the region to join the Visa Waiver Program (Visa Waiver ProgramVWP), which allows you to enter the United States without a visa. According to the consulting firm Visa restrictions index Henley & Partners, carried out in cooperation with the International Association of air transport (IATA, for its acronym in English), Argentines, Brazilians and Chileans are those who can travel to most countries without a visa.
