Wanted U.S. suspected drug trafficker apprehended in ECUADOR

Extra newspaper print edition reported in the February 11th, 2012 edition a U.S. citizen was apprehended in La Libertad, Ecuador, during a routine police stop. According to the newspaper, Jack Daniel Malone Wallace aka James Martin Malone provided authorities an expired identification card from the United States. He was transported to a local police station to determine his status. Police were surprised to discover the suspect to be wanted in the United States for drug trafficking charges. Records checks also revealed he was an x-convict. Suspect had listed age of 54.

D.E.A. confirmed the above information. It was also discovered that he has used at least eight identities. Malone was transported to an Ecuadorian immigration holding cell. He will be transported to the U.S. consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador, for questioning and subsequent deportation to the United States.
