A 22-year-old was killed by police gunfire in the San Telmo neighborhood of Buenos Aires yesterday, reports lanueva.com. Ariel Domínguez was shot in the head after leaving work while police were chasing a suspect that had stolen a wallet through the neighborhood. The official statement says that one of the officer’s guns fell out of its holster during the chase, hit the ground, and shot Domínguez. Family and friends of the victim find it hard to believe this story, and even if it was a mistake, it is ultimately the fault of the officer due to negligence, they say. A gag order has been placed on the case and authorities are investigating the officer today. Read Article
