Veracruz Mexico: Health official denies rumor that scabies outbreak contributed to deaths

The scabies epidemic occurred in the municipality of Tatahuicapan and was controlled, according to the Secretary of Health, Pablo Rivera Anaya, who denied that he had been deaths from this infection.
“It’s a disease that kills, is a dermatologist (…) is already working the jurisdiction to review this,” Anaya said Rivera. Health Secretary dismissed the statements made in this regard. He clarified that this disease is an infection of the skin but not lethal. Read Article
