Venezuela: Authorities Seize 216 Kilos of Cocaine, 2.5 Tons of Marijuana in Two Operations

From lainformacion.com on June 19, 2013- The Military Police of Venezuela seized a cache of 216 kilos of cocaine and 2.5 tons of marijuana in two different operations, according to Interior Minister Gen. Miguel Rodriguez Torres. Agents from the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and the National Anti-Drug Office (ONA) found the stash of cocaine in a boat in the waters north of La Guajira, bordering the northern tip of Venezuela and Colombia. In the second operation, the GNB seized 2,500 kilos of marijuana in Ureña, in the state of Táchira, south of La Guajira, and also along the Venezuela-Colombia border. Read Article [ge0_mashup_map]
