Venezuela annual inflation rate 25 percent

– With this result, the cumulative change of the CPI to the penultimate month of the year 2011 stood at 25.4%, which slightly exceeds that observed in the same period in 2010 (24.9%) . For its part, the annualized change in the reference month was 27.6%, slightly above the 27.0% was obtained in November last year.

Only 4 of the 13 clusters that are classified in the categories of the CPI basket rose above the global average (2.2%), led by Housing services, with 5.0%, and alcohol and snuff, with 4.1%. Food and soft drinks increased by 2.8% due to increased contribution of industrialized food (3.1%), as the farm grew only 1.3%. Read Article
