U.S. based website claims cyber attack orginated from Ecuador, according to retired FBI agent

Bananaleaks.com reported that on January 28, 2013, it was knocked offline by a terrorist cyber attack. While the site was restored and it was then again attacked. They established a new site at bananaleaks.co. and claim most of their original reporting material was also placed back online. They allege that their Twitter account was also hacked and they blame the systematic attack on their site as a campaign of “aggression” and “censorship”. Former FBI agent César Paz conducted an investigation and determined where the IP address came from. Bananaleaks.co claims the physical location is a building owned by the Ecuadorian government. NOTE: The website bananaleaks.co describes itself on their website as a ….. Latin American portal ……. that investigates corruptioin, freedom of expression and human rights….. The site does not list any names of staff members or who owns the site.
