Two Murders in Guayaquil, Ecuador – Last Few Hours

According to ElComercio.com two people were murdered in Guayaquil in the last few hours. Officials report, this morning, July 1st a man’s body was found abandoned in the trunk of a car in the Guayaquil suburbs. Police say he had been shot in the head and his hands and feet were shackled. They assume that the killing occurred in another part of the city since residents witnessed a driver abandoning the car. Officials say that another murder occurred on the island of Trinitaria, last night. A man was walking with his girlfriend when they were shot, police say. Officials add that the man died and the woman was wounded. Furthermore, a taxi driver from Manabi was found in a septic tank, stabbed five times on Wednesday in Puerto Principal. His family had reported him missing 17 days ago. Guayaquil officials report that about 52 homicides are reported every month. .Read Article
