Two Guatemalan women sanctioned by U.S. for involvement with Los Zetas

The United States sanctioned two women from Guatemala who laundered money for a drug trafficking organization associated with the Mexican Los Zetas cartel. The women were identified as Cristina Stetanel Castellanos Chacón and María Corina Saenz Lehnhoff, alias María Corina Del Pinal. According to Publimetro, the person running the organization was Marlory Dadiana Chacón Rossell. The organization was responsible for distributing drugs to other organizations, such as Los Zetas. Its activities extended to Panama and Honduras. The accused pair had at least 24 methods of laundering money, including in hotels, clothing stores, and construction companies. Read Article
