Trip Advisor survey ranks Quito, Cuenca Ecuador in top twenty most popular destinations in Latin America

Confirmado.net reported that thanks for the vote of thousands of tourists, Quito, capital of Ecuador and the Andean city of Cuenca are among the 25 most attractive destinations in South America.

The travel website www.tripadvisor.com.ar stressed that these cities are among the most popular tourist sites in the world.

According to Tripadvisor, Quito is located in the fifteenth place in the most attractive, while Cuenca is in the twenty-first place. The first places are occupied by the cities of Buenos Aires (Argentina), Machu Picchu (Peru) Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Cartagena (Colombia).

The cities of Quito and Cuenca were designated a World Heritage Site, mainly for its architecture, cuisine and for the diversity of cultures that inhabit them.

Quito has a rich pre-Columbian history. The capital of Ecuador was founded on the ruins of the Inca city and remains the least altered historic center in Latin America. Cuenca is the third largest city in the country and the capital of the province of Azuay. Read Article
