Transvestite Killed in Brazil During Sexual Act; Killer Leaves Glasses at Scene

On March 11, 2013, 24 Horas News reported that a transvestite in Brazil was killed in the city of Cuiabá, capital of the state of Mato Grosso.  He was found this morning strangled, with the suspect’s glasses stuffed down his throat.  The victim’s name was Alexandre Moura de Mello, or “Shandô,” and he was 31 years old.  Police currently seek a man, likely middle-aged, who could be responsible for the crime.  An associate of Shandô said that Shandô was a “happy person who did not deserve such an end.”  Police continue to investigate, but they believe they have some potential leads.  Read Article
