Ten dead after cartel shootout in Mexico; Familia Michoacana gang involved

Ten people are dead after a shootout between rival drug trafficking organizations in the state of Mexico. Five others involved in the conflict were injured. According to El Universo, one of the gangs involved was the Familia Michoacana. The rival gang was not reported. Several of the offenders in the shootout fled to the neighboring state of Michoacan, leading security forces there to investigate the case. Among the dead is a man identified as “El Tuzo,” believed to be the leading assassin of the Familia Michoacana. Read Article
