Taxation, main source of budget revenues for Ecuador

Taxation has become the main source of budget revenues Ecuador, displacing the oil sector. In 2012, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) increased the tributes to U.S. $ 11,200 million (discounted fees).
This year is expected to further increase amounting to U.S. $ 12,500 million, which should combated avoidance and tax evasion, effectively. In an interview with The Citizen TV, Carlos Marx Carrasco, director of SRI, explained what the 102 economic groups, in total, the country owed U.S. $ 1,831.4 million, tax challenges, including interest, whose decision is pending in District Courts of the Prosecutor of the country.
