Student Protestors to Respond to Chilean Government’s Proposal

•Student protestors have deemed the 21 points of the Chilean government’s proposal as insufficient and many of them vague according to america.infobae.com.
•Although the points are seen as an advance, student protestors want a structural reform that promotes access and equality according to Camilo Ballesteros, a representative of the student protestors.
•The proposal fails to answer to the demands that municipalities cease administering basic education and that equal education is established for all Chilean students according to Juan Eduardo García-Huidobro, Dean of Education at the Jesuit University Alberto Hurtado.
