Security Officials meet from Colombia, Ecuador, to discuss border issues

globalpost.com reported that Ecuador and Colombia summoned senior security officials Thursday for a meeting on how to fight crime along their dense jungle border. The two-day session begins in the southern Colombian city of Cali. On Friday officials will travel to an area of the 700-kilometer (420 mile) frontier where coca plantations have been detected and Colombian FARC rebels are active, the Colombian defense ministry said.
