Santa Cruz, Bolivia: Plaintiff’s Lawyer Upset Human Trafficking Suspect Given House Arrest

On July 29, 2013 El Deber Noticias reported that Judge Lidia Alarcón has released Eduardo D.G.M. on house arrest pending a trial involving him and two 17-year-old teenagers for human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Eduardo D.G.M. was arrested on Friday near Sonilum as he prepared to leave in his car with a 17-year-old girl, to whom the suspect allegedly offered to pay 700 Bolivian pesos in exchange for sexual favors.
The judge’s decision was described as scandalous by the plaintiff’s side, which considers the defendant Eduardo D.G.M as the main perpetrator. Read Article
