On June 30, 2013 ABC Noticias reported the case of an unemployed woman from San Lorenzo, who was kidnapped and raped after being approached by three women through Facebook. The suspects were identified as Miriam, Marlene and Marta González. After winning the confidence of the victim, one of them offered her a job in José Domingo Ocampos and convinced her to move there. However, when the victim arrived she was brought to a house, threatened with a knife and raped.

The victim was then freed after being held captive for hours. Later, the victim received another call from a woman who claimed she had filmed the rape and threatened to publish the video on the internet if the victim complained to the police. Police confirmed that several similar cases have already been reported in the same area, leading them to suspect the gang is operating out of a city in the Caaguazú department. Read Article
