San Blas, Panama: U.S., Colombian, Panamanian Efforts Lead to Seizure of 225 Kilos of Cocaine

From lainformacion.com on August 18, 2013- A shipment of 225 kilos of cocaine that was being transported by boat through the Caribbean Sea was seized in an operation that included U.S., Colombian, and Panamanian forces. The boat carrying the drugs was called the “Nina Darye” and was detected in the Colombian Caribbean by the Colombian Navy. After concluding that the drugs were on their way to Panama, the Colombia alerted both the United States and Panama. The United States sent a plane to assist in the operation alongside the Panamanian Air Force. The boat was intercepted near the Dutch Keys in San Blas, Panama. In addition to the seized drugs, authorities arrested two Colombian men.  Read Article
