Russia delivers T-72B1 tanks to Venezuela

Russia supplied ninety-two T-72B1 tanks to Venezuela for the 2009 contract. The latest round of thirty-five tanks was transported to Puerto Cabello in Venezuela aboard four ships. On board were also armored infantry BTR-80A and BMP-3M, the latter is one of the most widely used military vehicles in the world.

In addition, Caracas will receive ammunition of different calibers, staff training simulators and other equipment.

T-72B1 tanks are delivered to the reserve of the Russian Armed Forces. Igor Korotchenko, editor of the National Defense appreciates the characteristics of tanks:
