Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: Business Reopens After Traffickers Order Shutdown

jcnet.com.br reported on June 10, 2013, that business in Providência; in the central area of Rio de Janeiro, reopened on Sunday (9) after traffickers ordered the closure of businesses to mourn death of drug dealer Diogo de Oliveira Santos who was killed by police. This is the second occurrence in the last 2 weeks in which traffickers ordered the closure of businesses and drug trafficking activity. The favela was pacified in 2010. Read Article
