Relations between the U.S. and Brazil are paralyzed by mistrust and ignorance-opinion

Gone are the superpowers. Gone is the time when an empire or a country with great power, imposed on other desires. Of course there are still nations with the strength and resources to compel or induce other nations to behave and not another. But this is increasingly rare or sustainable. Today not even the U.S., with all its military and economic strength, manages to prevent other countries from acting autonomously. We’ve gone from the era of hegemonic powers in an era in which to build international alliances is essential. No state can afford to live without allies or not part of coalitions of countries support each other, although in certain areas or other rival their interests conflict. So, for example, the relationship between the U.S. and China. And America has other important bilateral relationships, such as Russia, UK and India. Read Article
