Puebla Pledges 10,000 Police Members to Mexico’s Operation Conago 1

El Universal Reports:
• The state government has pledged 10,000 members of state, intermunicipal and municipal police to aid in the launch of Operation Conago 1
• Operation Conago 1 (standing for “Comisión National de Gobernadores” – National Committee of Governers) seeks to attack the 11 most common crimes in Mexico, including kidnapping, robbery and extortion
• Road blocks have been set up on all main routes to the state’s capital city and will inspect all “suspicious vehicles”
• An estimated 310,000 police members are participating in the operation throughout the country; the first phase of the operation will conclude June 20 Read Article
