President Correa of Ecuador Denounces Operations of NGOs on Border with Colombia

•El Tiempo reports that Ecuadorian President Correa denounces the NGOs (non-governmental organizations), which are connected, with the extreme right of the U.S. are connected with FARC and other illegal groups on the Colombia – Ecuador Border.
•He claims that these NGOs are attempting to replace the governments in that area.
•He cites that of the $143 million dedicated to international cooperation along the border, 49% of its expenditure was carried out by foreign NGOs between 2007 and 2010.
•Correa also cites the case in which an NGO was let off with diplomatic immunity for suspicion with working with FARC. Read Article
