President Correa declares state of emergency in Azuay province due to weather, damage

The president, Rafael Correa, announced this morning signed the decree which declares state of emergency in the province of Azuay. Correa visited this afternoon several sections of the city of Cuenca, which have been badly affected by the rains. He indicated that citizens affected by the winter in Metro Manila will be part of a relocation program in dismissing rumors that have sprung up around a supposed choice of citizens. Read Article
