Potosí, Bolivia: Police Suspect Recently Shut Down Bar Employed Underage Escorts

On July 9, 2013 El Potosí Noticias reported that municipal authorities in Potosí are investigating a bar that had previously been shut down permanently, on suspicion that two children under 16 years worked there as “escorts.” According to a complaint forwarded to the Attorney General, apart from the two underage escorts there were others who worked there as waitresses.

The municipal authority also admitted that some owners of bars and taverns in District 4 of Potosí have re-opened their establishments illegally, despite being closed permanently. Read Article
