Policeman’s Pistol Traced to Death of Military Colonel in Porto Alegre, Brazil

On January 9, 2013, Zero Hora (Rio Grande do Sul) reported that authorities traced bullets involved in the death of Brazilian colonel Julio Miguel Molinas Dias to a pistol owned by policeman Denys Pereira da Silva in the state capital of Porto Alegre. According to ballistics reports, casings discovered at the scene of the crime matched the pistol used by Pereira da Silva. Pereira da Silva and a colleague, Maiquel de Almeida Guilherme, have been held since December 18 for suspected involvement in the crime.  Read Article
