Peru, thefts down against tourists at Lima’s international airport

The Ministry of Interior stated that in the past two years the rate of thefts against tourists has decreased almost 50% at Jorge Chavez International Airport, reported Peru21.pe. Statistics from the Department of Tourism and Environmental Protection (Dirtupramb) also show that the number of reported cases has also reduced. Their joint efforts with the National Police succeeded in dismantling three bands of robbers. Read article.
