Peru: The Amazon at risk of being in the hands of multinationals

The Amazon of Peru, which occupies more than half the country has begun to attract the interest of transnational corporations. These large companies buy carbon credits for huge tracts of land. However, some communities that they have been deceived. Several British companies have come there to buy the rights to their forests or carbon credits, which are a mechanism to reduce CO2 emissions. With the initiative, they expect that may be awarded credits for reducing emissions from deforestation excessive excessive.
