Peru: Cocaine found being shipped through the mail bound for overseas

After conducting intelligence work against Illicit Trafficking (TID) of the police from the PNP Drug Directorate, found in three mailings, a total of 1 kilo 462 grams of cocaine alkaloid.

The operation was performed in an establishment of the postal service (SERPOST SA), located in the district of Sol de Oro where the police found in a first shipment of 1,089 kg of cocaine alkaloid. In a second shipment of 0,345 kg of cocaine alkaloid. And in a third shipment 0.028 kg. of the same drug. The deslacrado, reopening and opening of the three items was performed in the presence of a representative of the Public Prosecutor, who ordered the transfer of the drug to the establishments of DIRANDRO-PNP. By taking the data from the purported senders and addressees of items, the police have begun the corresponding investigations, for the capture of those responsible. Read Article
