elcomercio.pe reported Children and indigenous adolescents develop illegal mining activities and have contact with toxic substances. A number still not determined in indigenous children working in the illegal extraction of gold in Amazon. Photos obtained by The trade confirms this serious problem in the basin of the Cenepa river, in the province of Condorcanqui. With shovels, dishes, buckets, strainers and other utensils, children and indigenous adolescents were photographed last week when they extracted gold illegally in a river in the Amazonas region.
