Peru: Air France Restart Lima Flights

RPP.com.pe reports that starting June 21st Air France will begin offering five daily flights from Paris to Lima. The airlines says that it will assess whether to extend the flights after viewing customer demand and negotiating agreements with local carriers for flights that include Cusco. Air France is investing 100 million euros plus a million dollars per year to promote Peru as a destination over the next two years. The representative for Air France KLM to the Andean countries signed an agreement with PromPeru for a promotion tour, June 9th. The representative says that the main attractions are Cusco and Machu Picchu therefore the airline has signed agreements with local airlines to accommodate these routes. Other important destinations are Arequipa and Trujillo says the representative. The Minister of Tourism, Eduardo Ferreyros says that Air France will not only increase French tourism, but that of Europe and Asia.Read Article
