Paraguayan journalists protest media censorship

As Paraguayan journalist, Sandra López, awaits a verdict in court today for charges of defamation and slander against businesswoman and Baila conmigo contestant, Zuni Castiñeira, fellow journalists are holding a “silent” protest on the sixth floor, according to abc.com.py. About 30 journalists with tape in the shape of a cross over their mouths have joined the protest to express their disapproval of the way members of the press are treated by the judicial system. The tape represents censorship of the media.
