Paraguay, 11 deaths, 4,600 confirmed dengue cases to date 2012

Asuncion, Paraguay. – Dengue fever killed 11 people and affected 4 000 600 people in the last four months in Paraguay, according to a bulletin released on Saturday by officials of the Sanitary Surveillance Ministry of Health. Poor health forced authorities to declare an “epidemic” in an area close to the Paraguayan capital, where public health officials launched prevention plans and programs to prevent the multiplication of evil. And fatal cases were confirmed in clinical laboratory studies of public health facilities after processing notifications of 11 000 suspected cases reported by nurses and doctors in hospitals, the report health.
