Panama, introduces new dollar equivalent coins

Panama which uses the U.S. dollar for its’ currency has faced a high cost of returning and replacing the dollar bills to the United States which have deteriorated. The new coins called the “Balboa”, will be in one and two dollar denominations. The average life of a U.S. bill is from between six and twelve months before they have to be turned in to the government because they are no longer usable. Read Article
