Narco-laboratory discovered near site of fallen Navy helicopter, Mexico

The Mexican Navy discovered a clandestine laboratory used to make synthetic drugs near the recent crash site of a Navy helicopter in Jalisco. Officials have not yet stated whether the laboratory and the helicopter crash are related, Charter reports. The laboratory was found 30 kilometers northeast of  Pihuamo. The cause of the helicopter crash has not yet been reported. 12 tanks of gas, chemicals, plastic barrels, burners, and other items were discovered at the site of the laboratory. Authorities have not indicated whether a specific drug organization is connected to the laboratory. For several years, Jalisco has been considered to be a primary location of methamphetamine production by the Sinaloa Cartel. Read Article
