Most Central Americans have little confidence in their country’s security forces per survey

Youth gangs are the main perpetrators of the crime in Central America, where the majority of the population has little confidence in the security forces, according to a survey released today in Guatemala by CID-Gallup. The survey, conducted last January a total of 7,200 Central Americans, ie 1,200 in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama, respectively, has a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 2, 8%.
