Mexico: Senate approves law giving foreigners right to hearing before deportation

eleconomista.com.mx repoted the Senate approved the creation of the right to a hearing for foreigners who are subject to deportation for participating in political affairs who are prohibited, exercise by itself or by proxy some of the rights of Mexican citizens or violate the principles of the Republic.

With 78 votes in favor, four against and one abstention, the House endorsed the Law Regulating Article 33 of the Constitution, which foreigners may be expelled from the country, after hearing relief. Read Article
