Mexico, organizer of San Fernando migrant massacre “El Wache” captured by Federal Police

On Thursday June 16, 22-year-old Édgar Huerta Montiel, known as “El Wache”, was captured by Mexico’s Federal Police in Fresnillo, Zacatecas. El Wache is said to be responsible for organizing the massacre of at least 10 migrants in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, as well as abducting six buses and torturing their passengers. El Wache has worked for Los Zetas since 2008 and had positions in various Mexican states as an informant and guard. He is thought to be the right hand man of Los Zetas’ “La Ardilla”, reports Excélsior. Read article.
