Mexico: Military places battalion of 800 military in Sonora to help eradictate drug crops

A battalion of 800 soldiers from the center of the country is strengthening efforts to eradicate drug crops, interdiction of shipments of narcotics and special operations in southern Sonora from February 1, informed the commander of the Fourth Military Zone. Georges André Van Lissum Foullon said that strengthening the State arrived earlier this month and remain in the state for a period of about two months, to what is known as “regional operational.””As part of the support given to the State Government in the work of eradication of narcotics crops, are carried out regularly two or three operations at the regional level.
