Mexico: EPR and EPRI guerrilla groups rearming with automatic rifles and rocket launchers

Mexico Navy warns guerrillas Popular Revolutionary Army (EPR) and the Revolutionary Army of the Insurgent People (EPRI) have been rearmed with automatic rifles and rocket launchers also have in their arsenals.

EPR (Popular Revolutionary Army) known locations of operations: Guerrero, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Michoacán, Morelos, Puebla, Querétaro, Tlaxcala, Veracruz and Mexico City.

ERPI ( Revolutionary Army of the Insurgent People) known areas of operations: Costa Chica Guerrero called Cruz Grande with a triangle of operations between three villages – Ayutla, San Marcos y Copalano about 120 kilometers from Acapulco and 100 kilometers from Pinotepa Nacional, in Oaxaca.

Then notes that “intelligence reports indicate that the EPR with ERPI continued rearmament of some of its bases from filtered materiel territory from the border with Guatemala.” In this way, he says, “is known RPG-7 and RPG-22 have come to power through the black market in arms, abundant in the southern border.” Read Article
