Mexico: degenerative, chronic diseases big business

During the last decade, Mexico has suffered a series of demographic change that has driven the growth of chronic degenerative diseases in the country, especially diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol and cancer, conditions that in turn have modified the drug products. According to data from IMS Health, Mexico ranks number 15 worldwide in the consumption of products for chronic degenerative diseases, and that in ten years the proportion in the purchase of these drugs increased from 55 to 68 percent.
