Mexico City: Ministry of Public Security Forms Cyber-Crimes Task Force
Mexican newspaper Proceso reported that the Ministry of Public Security (SSPDF) in Mexico City has recently formed a cyber-crimes task force to combat human trafficking, child pornography and internet fraud. The main purpose of the taskforce will be to combat criminals using the internet as a base of operations. Of the 30 member unit, 20 will be devoted to patrolling the internet 24 hours a day while the remaining 10 will provide courses in internet crime prevention to schools, businesses and agencies.
